About Me

Mike Meaney

Mike is a director, musical theatre maven, daydreamer, double-Aquarius, teddy bear, and goofball.

A lover of the Great American Songbook, trivia,

the Marx Brothers, board games, collecting cast albums on vinyl, and hot beverages.

It's Meaney with a MAy, not Meaney with a mean

Mike has worked at theaters across the country, directing casts ranging from 2 to 56. He has an extensive background in musical theatre, directing classic musicals like Hello Dolly! to contemporary works like Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. As an associate and assistant director, he has worked with award-winning directors, helping create world-premiere pieces as well as reviving musicals lost to time.

When Mike makes half-hearted attempts to watch sports, he roots for the Cubs, the Bills, and the United States curling team. For more personal information, write to his mother.

You can listen to Mike as a guest on musical theatre podcasts here, here, and here.
